What is the best age for a casting?
Any age, babies can be cast from days, but the older they get the more they tend to wriggle! A common misconception though is that casting is only for babies, however because of the products we use we can cast any age from young children to adults, achieving the same highly detailed finish.

How long is the casting appointment?
Appointments are scheduled for 45 minutes. The babies hand or foot is only held the solution for around 40 seconds. We allow more time to discuss the design options to ensure it is perfect!
Is the casting material safe?
Yes, a material called alginate is used which is non-toxic, biodegradable and safe for skin, including babies.
What should my child wear?
Dress your child in comfortable, old clothing, just in case of any minor mess, though the process is generally mess-free. If your baby is over six months old, bringing along a snack or a favorite toy can help keep them engaged and comfortable during the session.
What if my child is really wriggly?
We do need your little one to be as still as possible, although inevitably children move and that’s ok! There are very few cases we can’t get a usable mould. Favourite toys, treats and programmes are great as a distraction.
Can I feed my baby during casting?
Yes of course! Its actually the perfect time. we can cast while your baby is feeding. We welcome both bottle and breast feeding in our studio!
How does payment work?
Payment is broken in to two parts. £50 is non – refundable deposit that is taken at the time of booking. The balance is cleared at the casting appointment at the studio.
